I’m not quite sure when I added this book to my reading list or where the recommendation came from, but it turned out to be the first book I finished in the new year. It’s a wonderfully written work that covers a wide range of topics like yoga, spirituality, and war all from the refreshing perspective of a British army officer serving in pre-independence India. It’s funny, poignant, and meditative all at once. A classic for good reason.
